Product Description

This Beeswax is procured from the wax glands of honey Bees. This well-known and flexible wax is commonly used in items like lip-care, hair care, skin care, and candles. It has been filtered and moulded into pellets to improve usability. Our White Beeswax has been lightly refined to eliminate the natural wax's yellowish hue. This version is a favourite because of its application versatility.

INCI Listing: Cera Alba

Frequently asked questions

What is organic white beeswax?

It is the organic grade of white beeswax (INCI: Cera Alba): honeybee wax that has been heated, filtered and decolourised, then pelletised, for a pale, low-odour wax that keeps formulations clean in colour and scent.

How does organic white beeswax differ from organic yellow?

The white grade is decolourised for a neutral look and scent, ideal for creams and cosmetics. The yellow grade keeps its natural golden colour and honey note, which suits balms, wraps and candles.

Is organic white beeswax vegan or food safe?

It is suitable for food use, subject to the usual formulation considerations, and for vegetarians, but not for vegans as it comes from bees. It is gluten free, GMO free and palm free.

What pack sizes are available?

From 1kg up to 25kg, all priced online. For regular volumes, ask us for a bulk quote.

How it’s made

From the hive

A natural wax made by honeybees to build their comb.

  1. CollectedWax is collected from the comb when honey is harvested.
  2. MeltedIt is gently melted and cleaned.
  3. FilteredThe wax is filtered and set into easy-to-weigh pastilles or blocks.

What it means for you: Adds structure, gloss and a protective feel to balms, lip care and candles. It is an animal-derived ingredient, so it is not vegan.
