MCT oil for food and supplement manufacturers

MCT oil is the backbone of many nutrition formulations, and it is one of our core bulk lines. We supply medium-chain triglyceride oils for use in food, drinks and supplement products, from trial packs through to drums:

MCT Profile Typical uses in production
C8 MCT Caprylic (C8) triglyceride Oils and drops, coffee and drink blends, softgel fills, powders (as a carrier)
MCT C8/C10 Caprylic/capric triglyceride Carrier oil for vitamins, flavours and extracts; drinks and functional foods

Every order comes with the specification and safety data sheet, and a certificate of analysis can be supplied for your batch. Tell us your application and we will confirm the right grade and send the current product statement for your technical file. We supply ingredients only: we do not make nutrition or health claims, and claims on your finished product are for you and your regulatory adviser.

Omega-rich seed oils

These oils are documented as suitable for food use per supplier product statements. Fatty acid ranges are taken from the supplier specifications.

Oil Fatty acid profile (spec range) Sizes
Flax Seed Oil, Cold Pressed (also organic) Linolenic acid 35 to 71% 1kg, 5kg, 25kg
Echium Seed Oil, Refined Alpha-linolenic 20 to 35%, gamma-linolenic 7 to 13%, stearidonic 7% or more 250ml to 5kg
Hemp Seed Oil, Cold Pressed Linoleic 45 to 75%, alpha-linolenic 7 to 35% 1kg, 5kg
Camelina Seed Oil, Cold Pressed UK-grown and cold pressed 1kg, 5kg
Sacha Inchi Oil, Cold Pressed From Peru, cold pressed 500ml to 5kg

Antioxidants and stabilisers

  • Vitamin E (Tocopherol 70%): mixed tocopherols in sunflower oil, documented as conforming to Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 and suitable for food flavouring use per the supplier product statement. Sold from 50ml to 100kg.
  • Rosemary Antioxidant: rosemary leaf extract in sunflower oil with carnosic acid at 5 to 6.5%. The supplier product statement references Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 and Regulation (EU) 231/2012. Sold from 100ml to 200kg.

Other documented food-use ingredients

These are documented as suitable for food use per supplier product statements:

For flavour, several essential oils, including lemon, sweet orange and peppermint, are documented as suitable for food flavouring under Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 per supplier product statements.

As with any oil rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, flax, echium, hemp and camelina oils should be stored cool, sealed and away from light, and used promptly once opened; your own stability work will set the shelf life of the finished product.

Kosher and halal

We show kosher or halal status only where the supplier documentation says the product is certified. On the lines above, that includes kosher certification for refined grapeseed, refined rice bran and pumpkin seed oils and for lemon, sweet orange and peppermint oils, and kosher and halal certification for sea salt. Other products are listed as not certified.

Documentation

For the documented lines we hold a specification, safety data sheet and supplier product statement, and for most a food allergen declaration and manufacturing flow chart. A certificate of analysis can be supplied for the batch you receive. We do not make nutrition claims or claims about effects on the body for any ingredient; claims on your finished product are for you and your regulatory adviser.

How to approve an ingredient with us

  1. Tell us the ingredient, your application and the volumes you expect.
  2. We send the supplier specification, product statement, safety data sheet and, where available, food allergen declaration.
  3. Your technical team reviews the documents and, if needed, tests a sample from a 1kg or 5kg pack.
  4. We quote for production quantities and supply a certificate of analysis with your batch.

Questions

FAQs

Can your MCT oil be used in food and supplements?

Yes. Our C8 and C8/C10 MCT oils are supplied for food, drink and supplement manufacturing. Tell us your application and we will confirm the right grade and send the specification, safety data sheet and current product statement for your technical file.

What is the difference between C8 and C8/C10 MCT oil?

C8 MCT is based on caprylic acid only. C8/C10 MCT, also sold as fractionated coconut oil, is a blend of caprylic and capric triglycerides. Both are clear, light and neutral in taste; C8/C10 is the more widely used carrier in drinks and supplement formulations.

Which omega-rich oils are documented for food use?

Cold pressed flax seed (including organic), refined echium, cold pressed hemp seed, camelina and sacha inchi oils are documented as suitable for food use per supplier product statements.

Do you sell MCT oil in bulk?

Yes. C8 MCT Oil is available in 1kg, 5kg, 25kg and 200kg drums, and C8/C10 MCT from 1kg (500ml organic) to 190kg and 200kg drums. For regular contract quantities, use the quote form for drum and pallet pricing.

Do you hold food safety certifications?

We do not state site certifications on this page. For each ingredient we can send the supplier specification, product statement and, where available, a food allergen declaration and certificate of analysis for your own approval process.
