Product Description
EcoSnow is Kerax's powdered blend of natural waxes for a frosted, snow-like finish on candles. Use it to give seasonal and winter collections a crystalline top, or to add texture to soy, paraffin and blended-wax candles.
We stock it in 5kg as well as 20kg, so you can trial it without buying a full box. Kerax sells it in 20kg boxes only. Free UK delivery on orders over £100 ex VAT.
At a Glance
- Form: fine white powder
- Congealing point: 51–54°C (typically 53°C, ASTM D938)
- Colour: water-white (Saybolt 30)
- Odour: neutral (passes Kerax's odour test)
- Works with: soy, paraffin and blended candle waxes
- Credentials: no animal or GMO ingredients, no residual solvents, no ethanol, not tested on animals
How to Use
Kerax doesn't publish a set usage rate, so trial it on a test candle first. Two common ways to use it:
- Snow top: dust it over the surface of a container candle while the top is still slightly soft, then leave to set.
- Frosted layer: stir it into a small top-up pour for a textured, frosted layer.
Keep the powder dry and away from the wick, and test burn the finished candle as normal.
FAQs
Will it affect scent throw?
Used as a surface layer it shouldn't, but test your fragrance and wick combination, as with any change to a candle.
Can I get the technical documents?
Yes. The SDS and product statements are available, and the specification, CoA, IFRA and allergen statements can be requested by email.
Bag photo is for illustration only; please ignore the dates, weight and details shown on it.
