A simple first step into whipped body butter: soft refined shea and smooth mango butter, sweet almond oil to make it spreadable, and lavender essential oil to scent.

What’s inside your set

• Shea Butter, Refined – 1 kg. A soft, low-odour butter
• Mango Butter – 1 kg. A smooth butter that reduces graininess
• Almond Sweet Oil, Refined – 1 kg. A liquid oil that makes the butter whip and spread
• Lavender Essential Oil (40/42) Blended – 100 ml. A classic soft floral scent

Recipe: whipped body butter (one 1 kg batch)

Balanced to the set: it makes about 3 batches, around 3 kg of whipped butter.

1. Gently melt the shea and mango butters in a bain-marie on a low heat.
2. Take off the heat and stir in the sweet almond oil.
3. Cool in the fridge for 30–60 minutes until the edges are firm and the centre is soft and opaque.
4. Whip for 5–10 minutes until light and fluffy, adding the lavender as you whip.
5. Spoon into clean jars, label and date.
