Product Description
Gardenia Absolute PQ is a perfumery-quality gardenia: a rich, creamy white floral with sweet, green and slightly fruity facets. PQ means it's a perfumery-grade blend of natural and synthetic aroma materials made to capture the scent of gardenia flowers. It is not a 100% natural absolute extracted only from gardenia.
That makes it a consistent, affordable way to bring gardenia into candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays, soap and fine fragrance.
At a Glance
- Grade: Perfumery Quality (PQ), a natural and synthetic blend
- Odour: rich, creamy white floral with green and fruity notes
- Appearance: yellow liquid
- Origin: France
- Uses: candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays, soap and perfumery
Using It Safely
Check the IFRA certificate for the maximum use level in each product type before you formulate, and include the declared allergens on your labels. The SDS is available, and IFRA and allergen statements can be requested by email.
Don't apply undiluted to skin. As a perfumery blend, it isn't suitable for aromatherapy, where a 100% natural oil is expected.
FAQs
Is this a natural absolute?
No. PQ (perfumery quality) means it's a perfumery blend, not a 100% natural extract of gardenia. For natural materials, see our absolutes and essential oils.
Why choose PQ?
A true gardenia absolute is extremely rare and costly. A PQ gives you the scent at a fraction of the price, with the same character batch to batch.
